The 18th Dorking (North Holmwood) Scout Group was first registered in 1929 with a cub pack of just 10 boys and 1 leader, then in 1936 a Scout troop was formed. But in 1940 at the outbreak of the Second World War, the group was closed & it wasn’t until 22 years later in 1962 that the group reformed with the help of the local vicar, a few years later after it re-opened in 1989 the group launched its own Beaver Colony, and is going from strength to strength.

The group holds frequent fundraising events in and around the village, organised by its strong and stable leadership committee.

If you wish to volunteer or are interested in your child joining & would like more information then please contact Richard the District Commissioner.
